Making marks on a surface is so innately human. I have found returning to this activity to be very rewarding and satisfying.

I love to draw on different paper stocks and have found a format that I trust. A6.


There are a number of advantages, for me, in using this format.

1. I can rapidly realise many variations of an idea.

2. On every separate sheet I am incidentally refining my skills in composition.

3. Brain to hand latency is reduced.

4. It holds my attention through the possibility of finishing a composition quickly. (mmm dopamine)

5. Single sheets allow flor flexibility in collating works afterwards.

It is a solid method for the dopamine deficient brain.
